Saniel Ventures is a private investment group with positions in over 30 high-growth technology businesses in Australia, the US, the UK, Israel and France. We are patient, long-term investors that know what it takes to build an enduring company and work closely with our founders to grow their business.
We look for companies with large and addressable market opportunities, scalable business models with traction and that are lead by great entrepreneurs.
Leigh Jasper
Founder & CEO
Saniel Ventures CEO, Leigh Jasper, previously co-founded Aconex, the world’s most widely used cloud collaboration platform for managing construction projects, in Melbourne with Rob Phillpot in 2000. The company expanded to 50 cities around the world, in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, serving projects valued at over one trillion dollars. As CEO, he led Aconex through multiple capital raisings, to an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2014 and company sale to Oracle Ltd for $1.6 billion in 2018.
Prior to Aconex, Leigh worked in management consulting with McKinsey and Company.
Leigh is a founder of SecondQuarter Ventures, is a director of SEEK Ltd, and is the Chair of LaunchVic. He is now the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Firmable, building Australia’s definitive source of business and market intelligence for B2B businesses.
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Head of Venture
Ryan is an experienced VC and leads venture investments at Saniel Ventures. Previously he was the Portfolio Manager at Skalata Ventures. Ryan was formerly an M&A lawyer specialising in venture transactions at King & Wood Mallesons and worked at several startups. He is also Head of Business Development at Firmable.
Sarah Grace Worboys
Venture Strategy Director
Sarah is a senior executive who has held a range of c-suite positions with a focus on strategy, finance, operations, growth and leadership. Sarah leads portfolio support at Saniel Ventures. Previously she was employee 3 at Timelio and the CEO of Fintech Australia.
Tara Salmon
Marketing Principal
Tara is an expert advisor in marketing to high growth tech companies. Tara was the CMO at Message Media (acquired by Sinch for $1.7bn), Senior Director, Change Management at Oracle and Chief of Stagg and Director of Online Marketing at Aconex. Tara supports Saniel and our portfolio companies with all things marketing.
